Cameron Starnes serves as the Director of Economic Development for the City of Lawrence, where he directs the Lawrence Redevelopment Commission, consults on land use planning and city infrastructure projects, and recruits new businesses to Lawrence to increase employment opportunities and investment in the city. Cam is trained as an attorney, and practiced law at a private firm for several years before working for the City of Indianapolis, first in Corporation Counsel and then as Administrator of Redevelopment in the Department of Metropolitan Development. His background includes considerable experience redeveloping distressed and environmentally impacted properties, and his efforts are focused on leveraging maximum private investment through strategic public financing and partnerships. Cam graduated from Wabash College and earned his Juris Doctorate degree from Indiana University McKinney School of Law.
