Free & Confidential Wellfield Assessments for Businesses

Are your business operations impacting our drinking water?  Any business located within a wellfield protection area in Marion County is elligible to participate in the free and confidential business assessment program to protect our drinking water.

Chemical spills, leaks, and improper storage can lead to pollution of water which seeps into the ground and travels to drinking water wells.  The area around a drinking water well is known as a wellfield protection area.  Businesses in wellfield protection areas are required to follow the Marion County Public Health Department's Wellfield Protection Code.
